New Look for Take That Official!

Today saw the launch of the new-look Take That Official website, including a brand new Forum.

Work is still in progress on the site, but you can pre-order the new album in the Official Store, along with other Take That Memorabilia. You can also watch the promo video, shown on tv last night, click here to watch it now!

Many Thatters are unhappy with the news, but at the end of the day it's what Take That want and if we want to keep following Take That, then perhaps we need to come to terms with it and move on. We don't have to be happy about it, but there was a time we thought we would never see Take That live again.

Tour news is yet to follow, but we understand there will be 54 dates, this could include Europe but not yet confirmed. Manchester City Stadium is one venue, Wembley Stadium is thought to be another. For all updates relating to this, please keep checking Take That Official website!

Gary duets with Robbie on Robbie's Greatest Hits!

Announced on Robbie Williams' Official Website today, Gary has teamed with Robbie on his next single, Shame. The single is set for release on 4th October 2010, a week before the release of Robbie's new album.

For full details, please visit the Robbie Williams Official website - click here!

Speaking about this forthcoming album and working with Gary Barlow again, Robbie said:

It’s incredible to listen to the album and realise that it’s already been 20 years of making music and playing gigs. And the great thing about the album is that it’s not only a celebration of my past but also a bridge to the future. The fact that part of the future includes a name from my past makes it all the more poignant for me”.

We have received the following request from 24 Broadcast, who need your help please:-

"WE NEED YOUR HELP! Does anyone have amateur video footage of TAKE THAT from 1996 which they shot that year? – It can be anything showing the band playing, talking to fans, signing autographs or just getting into cars etc.

If you shot and still have any amateur videos of the band in 1996 please contact me by email – karen.walsh@twofour.co.uk, leaving your name and contact details, including your telephone number and I will call you back. Many thanks!

Gary Barlow - By Royal Appointment!

Click here for full Report! According to Bizarre in The Sun Online, Her Majesty the Queen has invited Gary to organise two very special Royal celebrations - her 85th Birthday (21 April 2011) and her Diamond Jubilee (February 2012).

The Sun reports: "GARY BARLOW has been tapped up by The Queen to be her official party planner.

Her Maj invited the TAKE THAT star for a brew at Buck House to discuss organising two big shindigs. The landmarks are her 85th birthday next year and the Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

Gaz certainly knows how to throw a party, boasting a black book filled with more celebs than you could shake a corgi at. So the Queen's advisers reckoned the Bizarre Lord was the man to arrange the biggest Royal parties since her Golden Jubilee in 2002.

A source said: "Her Majesty has been made well aware of his charity work and the events he has put together. "Gary's got the power to pull in some big names and ensure it's a party to match the occasion. The timing means he can get the ball rolling early and start ringing his contacts."

Take That recording Haiti single!

Nice article in today's Sun Online from Pete Samson, US Editor, about Take That in LA recording the charity single for Haiti.

According to The Sun, Howard Donald yesterday said he hopes money raised will help make the ravaged country stronger than it was before the quake struck.

Howard, 41, said Haiti's suffering was particularly devastating because of its grinding poverty.

Former member Robbie Williams added his vocal in LA yesterday - making it the first time the band have appeared together on a track since 1995. To read more, please click here!

The Brits Hit 30!

On Saturday 23rd January, ITV1 will broadcast ‘*The BRITs Hits 30*’

Tune in at 22:00 hrs (10.00 pm UK time)! Spice Girl ‘Mel B’ will be hosting the show and features 15 of the most memorable performances from the biggest event in the UK music calendar, as well as exclusive interviews with Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Girls Aloud, Take That, Sharon Osbourne, Cat Deeley and Davina McCall.

There have been hundreds of BRITs performances within the past 30 years, all of which were considered for the "BRITs Hits 30" show. Unfortunately not all performances will make it to the public vote, which means there is the danger of overlooking some of the more memorable BRITs moments. In order to counter this 'potential disaster' BRITs.co.uk have been working with our members to bring you some of our favorite performances over the past 30 Years. To get the ball rolling they have uploaded 2 classics for you on the following links:-:

1999 - Robbie Williams performing "Let Me Entertain You"
2007 - Amy Winehouse - performing "Rehab"

Keep checking back to The Brits Website, who have promised that there will certainly be more to come!

7th Week at No 1!

Click here to buy now!Yet again, and for the 7th week running, Take That are still No 1 with Take That Present The Circus Live Music DVD!

Not only that, but here has been movement in the Album Charts - with both albums now in the Top 40! The Greatest Day has gone down 16 to No 33, but the original Circus album, has climbed up 3 places to No 27!

This is truly a very proud time to be a Thatter, well done to Gary, Howard, Jason and Mark, to not only come back to us all but to be even bigger and better than the first time around!

We are just amazed that The Brits have seen fit not to have Best Live Performance Award this year, because it was surely plain for all to see who the winners would be! Can't understand the reasoning, to replace an Award that is voted for by the public for what surely is the essence of British music, performing live, with one for best performance at The Brits over the years? Surely there was room for both?

A Petition has been set up by Laura Bolger, to ask the organisers of The Brits to reconsider. If you feel this Award should be reinstated, please sign the Petition. You can add your name by clicking here!

This is an amazing achievement from an amazing Band! What a brilliant start to 2010, and we are all very much looking forward to more!

Congratulations to Gary, Howard, Jason and Mark, plus all your behind the scenes staff! Just when we think we have seen you do it all, something extra comes about.

Have a great break, and we are all looking forward to that new album later this year - another new instalment in our Take That adventure! Thank you so much for the past 4 years!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Click here to go to websiteWe would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! May 2010 bring you all you wish for! We certainly had an amazing 2009 with the Tour and all the wonderful things released in time for our Christmas Lists.

Congratulations yet again to Take That for not only the 5th week at No 1 in the DVD Music Charts with Take That Present The Circus Live Tour but for being the first No 1 Music DVD of 2010!

This is brilliant news, plus they have two albums in the Top 40 Album charts with The Greatest Day at No 7 and The Circus at No 37, which for an album that has been around for over a year is fantastic

Well done all involved!! A most excellent year 2009, so here's looking forward to a new album perhaps in 2010 - though obviously after a long and much deserved rest! Wishing Gary, Howard, Mark and Jason a wonderful 2010 - may you keep going from strength to strength!

Congratulations again to Gary, on being awarded a Gold Blue Peter Badge, as reported on 28th December 2009 - for more details, please see News (2009) or click here to go there now!

None of us know what the future may hold, but we do hope that 2009 was not the final tour! Would love it if they went back to the normal formats for Tours though, in the Arenas!
