The Brits Hit 30!
Source: The Brits WebsiteOn Saturday 23rd January, ITV1 will broadcast ‘*The BRITs Hits 30*’
Tune in at 22:00 hrs (10.00 pm UK time)! Spice
Girl ‘Mel B’ will be hosting the show and features 15
of the most memorable performances from the biggest event in the
UK music calendar, as well as exclusive interviews with Robbie Williams,
Kylie Minogue, Girls Aloud, Take That, Sharon Osbourne, Cat Deeley
and Davina McCall.
There have been hundreds of BRITs performances within the past 30 years, all of which were considered for the "BRITs Hits 30" show. Unfortunately not all performances will make it to the public vote, which means there is the danger of overlooking some of the more memorable BRITs moments. In order to counter this 'potential disaster' BRITs.co.uk have been working with our members to bring you some of our favorite performances over the past 30 Years. To get the ball rolling they have uploaded 2 classics for you on the following links:-:
1999
- Robbie Williams performing "Let Me Entertain You"
2007
- Amy Winehouse - performing "Rehab"
Keep checking back to The
Brits Website, who have promised that there will certainly be
more to come!
7th Week at No 1!
Source: BBC Radio 1 Chart Show
Yet
again, and for the 7th week running, Take That are still
No 1 with Take That Present The Circus Live
Music DVD!
Not only that, but here has been movement in the Album Charts -
with both albums now in the Top 40! The
Greatest Day has gone down 16 to No 33, but the original
Circus album, has climbed up 3 places
to No 27!
This is truly a very proud time to be a Thatter, well done to Gary,
Howard, Jason and Mark, to not only come back to us all but to be
even bigger and better than the first time around!
We are just amazed that The Brits have seen fit not to have Best
Live Performance Award this year, because it was surely
plain for all to see who the winners would be! Can't understand
the reasoning, to replace an Award that is voted for by the public
for what surely is the essence of British music, performing live,
with one for best performance at The Brits over the years? Surely
there was room for both?
A Petition has been set up by Laura Bolger, to ask the organisers
of The Brits to reconsider. If you feel this Award should be reinstated,
please sign the Petition. You can add your name by clicking
here!
6th Week at No 1!

news is that for the 6th week running, and in the first official
charts of 2010, Take That are still No 1 with Take
That Present The Circus Live Music DVD!
Not only that, but here has been movement in the Album Charts -
with both albums now in the Top 30! The
Greatest Day has gone down 10 to No 17, but the original
Circus album, has climbed up to No 30,
from No 37!
This is an amazing achievement from an amazing Band! What a brilliant
start to 2010, and we are all very much looking forward to more!
Congratulations to Gary, Howard, Jason and Mark, plus all your behind
the scenes staff! Just when we think we have seen you do it all,
something extra comes about.
Have a great break, and we are all looking forward to that new album
later this year - another new instalment in our Take That adventure!
Thank you so much for the past 4 years!
Happy New Year Everyone!
Source: TTAP and BBC Radio 1 Chart Show
We
would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! May 2010 bring you
all you wish for! We certainly had an amazing 2009 with the Tour and
all the wonderful things released in time for our Christmas Lists.
Congratulations yet again to Take That
for not only the 5th week at No 1 in the DVD Music Charts with Take
That Present The Circus Live Tour but for being the first
No 1 Music DVD of 2010!
This is brilliant news, plus they have two albums in the Top 40 Album
charts with The Greatest Day
at No 7 and The Circus at No
37, which for an album that has been around for over a year is fantastic
Well done all involved!! A most excellent year 2009, so here's looking
forward to a new album perhaps in 2010 - though obviously after a
long and much deserved rest! Wishing Gary, Howard, Mark and Jason
a wonderful 2010 - may you keep going from strength to strength!
Congratulations again to Gary, on being awarded a Gold Blue Peter
Badge, as reported on 28th December 2009 - for more details, please
see News
(2009) or click
here to go there now!
None of us know what the future may hold, but we do hope that 2009
was not the final tour! Would love it if they went back to the normal
formats for Tours though, in the Arenas!
