Source: www.bloomsbury.com
Following the sell-out Take That comeback tour of summer 2006, My Take is Gary Barlow’s long-awaited, no-holds-barred autobiography, and previously-untold take on life inside Britain’s biggest boy-band. For the first time Gary reveals the extraordinary truth behind the headlines, from the hedonistic glory years with Take That — the girls, the drugs, the money and the fights — to his very public fall-out with Robbie, and devastating post-Take That comedown. For details, please click on the following link:- http://www.take-that.co.uk/Documents/TakeThat.pdf Here is a snippet from the interview, kindly sent to us by The Magazine:- The Magazine: "Do you think you’ll ever go back into acting?" Jason: "No. I felt like a fake; I felt like I was acting and a true actor doesn’t feel like he’s acting. When I left the band, there was a panic like, “What next?” I knew that I wasn’t going to have a solo singing career, so I went along with the people advising me. They’d say, “Jason, you’ve got good looks, you’ve got this profile, you can get acting work.” I wasn’t thinking for myself, so just went along with it. I did two acting jobs and didn’t feel comfortable with either of them. I was out of my depth really." Many thanks to The Magazine for sending this snippet! My magazine is ordered! | 15 November 2005: Robbie misses Take That Reunion
Robbie misses Take That Reunion Take That band members have been reunited to watch a documentary on the group but were snubbed by their most successful member - Robbie Williams
It coincides with the release of a greatest hits CD and DVD. Former members Jason Orange, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald were pictured at the launch of the album, entitled Never Forget - The Ultimate Collection, at the Coronet Cinema, in London's Notting Hill. They were Britain's biggest boy band, notching up 6 Number Ones and 10 million album sales. Their hits included Relight My Fire, Could It Be Magic and Back For Good. Robbie Williams walked out on the band six months before they called it a day. Gary was tipped as the one who would go on to a successful solo career. But it was Williams who became a global superstar. Explaining his absence, the singer's spokeswoman said: "Robbie has been working hard promoting his new album and is having a well-deserved rest at home in LA before he releases his second single." Speaking at the reunion band member Mark Owen said: "It would have been great to have had Robbie here tonight, but we were really glad he was involved in the documentary. I know Rob left early, but our memory is of us as a five, and I wouldn't have liked it if it was just us four." |

| 12 November 2005: Promotional Advert on GMTV Website | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Source: GMTV Website The biggest British boy band of the 90s are back! Don't miss them live on GMTV next Friday! The ultimate and original boy band, Take That, are set to stun fans old and new by including a completely new and unreleased song on their forthcoming greatest hits album 'Never Forget -The Ultimate Collection', which is released on 14th November 2005. 'Today I've Lost You' was originally written in 1996, and scheduled to be the follow up to Take That's massive chart hit 'Back For Good'. Nine years on, the song has been revitalised and recorded by Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen, marking the first new material released by the band since their split. See them live on GMTV next Friday! Lost track According to Gary Barlow, the four went into the studio during September and October of this year. It was at a meeting with Sony BMG, the record company, in January that Mark Owen remembered that the track existed. Sony BMG has since commented, "it was only after several months of working with the band that we discovered to our amazement that they had written this forgotten track. It's a true reflection of how talented the most entertaining boy band of all time were." Written by Gary Barlow when he was only 23, this never-before-heard song undoubtedly adds an extra dose of excitement to the release of their Ultimate Collection, and is sure to create a huge noise within their loyal fan base and the media alike. 'Today I've Lost You' will sit next to their immense back catalogue of smash hits, with songs such as 'Everything Changes', 'It Only Takes A Minute' and 'Pray', as well as a brand new remix of 'Relight My Fire' - all included on Never Forget- The Ultimate Collection. It's the first completely new compilation for nine years, Also released on the same day is 'Never Forget' the DVD, containing videos to all the hits, live concert performances, photo gallery and fly-on-the-wall footage filmed by the band. Never Forget -The Ultimate Collection, the album and the DVD are both released through Sony BMG on 14 November 2005. |

| 15 September 2005: Take That - The Ultimate Documentary | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
We have been contacted by Talkback Thames,
producers of what promises to be the definitive Take That documentary
ever! Denise Kelly, one of the Researchers, has asked me to post this
information here on TTAP and I would encourage as many of you as possible to
help her. THE TAKE THAT STORY - DOCUMENTARY Well, as everyone who visits the site will know only too well it's coming up to 10 years since Take That split up. To mark that anniversary BMG are releasing a special Greatest Hits Album and TalkbackThames TV along with Syco (Simon Cowell's company) are making a programme for ITV 1 where the Take That Story can finally be told by the people that were actually there. We will be talking to all five members of the band plus Nigel Martin-Smith who will tell us their memories of that phenomenal time and what they are all doing now. And of course no programme would be complete without a word from the fans - and this is where you come in: Were you at those amazing concerts? Did you wait outside the venues to get a glimpse of your idols in their tour bus? Do you have lots of memorabilia from that time? Posters, programmes, keyrings and the famous Take That Dolls? Were you devastated first by Robbie leaving and then the final split? Did you phone the fans helpline that the band set up? Are you still a great fan now? If you would like to share your experiences with us please email me on denise.kelly@talkbackthames.tv or call me on 0207 691 6589. Ok guys, there you have it! It's official! Now it's over to you . . . . The producers are very keen to make sure this is the definitive Take That documentary, let's show them that we are all still here "Keeping the Dream Alive"! |

| 9th April 2004 - Animated Video for Me & My Monkey! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Just received this from the Inner Santum of Robbie's official site http://www.robbiewilliams.com:- "*** Check out the brilliant new animated video to Me and My Monkey!
Things may have been
a little quiet on the Robbie Williams front of late; having spent the first part
of the year taking some time out to practice his golf swing, Robbie is now back
in the UK and busy writing away out in the countryside! However, in the meantime,
somebody else has been very hard at work...
Life long fan and art student Steve Edge has brought Robbie's monkey escapades
in Vegas to life in his brilliant animation of Me and My Monkey. The film took
him nearly three months to complete and was actually sent in to us by his tutor!
Check out stills from the animation in Latest, and see the full 8 minutes of plastercine
mayhem now playing in View in the Inner Sanctum!

Please take a trip over to http://www.markowenofficial.com for a really nice surprise! MOO has had a facelift and it is absolutely fantastic!! There is a great deal more information available and lots of new features, including mobile ringtones and logos! There is a great Biography, which pays tribute and gives an acknowledgement to the part Take That played in Mark's career. It is a really beautifully worded bio. You can also hear clips from Mark's new single "Four Minute Warning" (due to be released on 2 August) and 3 other songs from the album - "Gravity"; "Close to the Edge"; and "Kill me with your Smile". The site also has a lovely gallery of pics, a diary page, audio/ video section, news and a VIP Area. Not sure what is happening to MOO Message Board at the moment. It is still there but you can't post yet. Excellent job, congratulations to all at MOO! |

| 25 June 2003 - Mark appears on Radio in Liverpool! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Mark appeared on the Kev Seed Breakfast Show on Radio City here in Liverpool this morning. It is part of his promotional tour around Radio Stations and TV for the new single "Four Minute Warning", due to be released on 4 August 2003. It was a really good interview, Mark seemed to be very relaxed and enjoying the programme, with lots of laughter and banter between him and the team on the programme. Kev Seed has always been a strong supporter of Take That and was obviously delighted to have Mark on his show. "Four Minute Warning" was played twice during the programme. Kev Seed ended with the words "Welcome Back Mark Owen!". Couldn't have put it better myself! |

| 10 May 2003 - Howard's Official Website goes Live! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Just
to let you know that, although not officially fully launched yet, Howard's website
is now up and running! The URL is http://www.howarddonald.co.uk
Slightly disappointed to see that the only reference to his almost 6 years with Take That reads as follows:- "His blossoming DJ career was interrupted when he was plucked from obscurity to sing all around the world with 3 or 4 other blokes. Even during this time at any opportunity he could be found behind the decks at the occasional party he and his friends endured." It
could be the Bio is not yet fully complete. Why not go over and check the site
out yourself! It is still not 100% finished, but there is a place for you to contact
Howard and his Diary is also there. |

of Donny News, which was sent out on 7 May, in which Donny writes the following:-
"Since I arrived home from the tour I have been revamping my home recording studio. It's going to be so nice. I did most of my vocals for "Somewhere In Time" there and most of the writing for the next record will be done in the new studio. Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy, (my producers) are flying over in about a month to get started on it with me." Why not go over to http://www.donny.com and sign up for the Newsletter, it's a good way to find out news about Gary working with Donny. It has to be one of the top official websites on the Net, it is certainly one which Donny obviously devotes a lot of his time to, in order to keep his fans informed and up to date with his life. |

| 21 April 2003 - Howard interviewed by Daily Record! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
With thanks to Janette Sewell, who posted this on the take_that Mailing List. It's an article taken from The Daily Record, as with most things, it's probably not exactly what Howard said or meant! I don't see anywhere in the piece where Howard actually says he hates Robbie! WHY
I HATE ROBBIE FORMER Take That singer Howard Donald has admitted he can't stand listening to old bandmate Robbie Williams! Howard was one fifth of Britain's biggest boy band when they notched up 13 Top 10 singles, including a string of No 1s, before they disintegrated in 1995. Howard
attempted to launch a solo career during the fall-out as Howard, who was once described as "thick" by Robbie, says he no longer listens to pop music and can't stomach hearing Robbie's hits on the radio. He admitted: "I haven't spoken to Robbie Williams and I don't listen to his music. It's not the sort of stuff I would buy, but millions seem to like it." Grudgingly, he adds: "Robbie has established himself and is a great performer, I suppose. He is a megastar now but without Take That he would be nothing. The band was his apprenticeship. His criticisms of me don't bother me. Robbie is Robbie and all he has done since he left the group is take the p***." But Howard is making a comeback of his own, this time as a DJ, and, this weekend, the long and winding road takes him to Scotland. Quickly becoming a sought-after name behind the decks with his funky house selection, he makes his Scottish debut at the glamorous Eye Candy event at Edinburgh's Club Massa on Saturday. But
despite his steady return to success, Howard, who is still pals with all his ex-bandmates
except Robbie, has ruled out any "I see Gary a lot and speak to Mark and Jason sometimes. Gary is doing really well and Mark just got a new deal. Jason is away travelling and he is difficult to track down. I suppose if somebody wanted us to do a one-off performance for a million pounds, then, yeah, it's possible - but I doubt it." "I wouldn't do a solo career. There are too many good singers and solo artists out there. The music business is a difficult place to be in these days." But he says he is happier than ever, having resurrected the DJ-ing career he put on hold to be in Take That, and taking care of his three-year old daughter, Grace. He says: "I've been at the decks since before the group and I've only taken it up again recently. I'm in the lucky position where people come to see me because I'm a name, then come back because of the music. It was difficult to adjust after Take That split. It took a year for me to realise how difficult it was to carry on without them. I had to get used to the fact that I was no longer with the four friends I'd been with 24 hours a day for years." "Thankfully, I had enough money to go on a long holiday and think about what I really wanted to do. "I don't even listen to pop music any more. When I became a dad it mellowed me out but it didn't stop me wanting to work. If I wasn't doing this now, I would go insane." Howard
adds: "I want to be a successful DJ and not to live off the name of Take
That. "But I'm definitely proud of my past. It's not like I'm embarrassed
by it." |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 20 April 2003 - Gary closes official website! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The
Gary Barlow Official Website is no more! Having checked out the domain registration,
It appears that it was DETAGGED (whatever that means) on 17 March 2003, which
probably means that's when the official site was removed from the web. |

| 11 April 2003 - Take That Greatest Boyband in History! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Many thanks to Nick Usher who informed us about the following article, which appears in today's Daily Mirror! TAKE
THAT ARE VOTED SMASH HIT - 11 April 2003 TEEN heart-throbs Take That have been voted the greatest boyband in history in a survey out today. The '90s group which spawned Robbie Williams beat rivals Boyzone and Westlife by notching up 23 covers of pop magazine Smash Hits, the most of any act and seven more than the two Irish bands. The band's success has been tallyed by the magazine as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations. Madonna's two covers in 1984 and 2001 make her the most enduring Smash Hits cover star while Paul Gascoigne remains the only footballer to have been on its front page. Despite his relatively short career, Aussie singer Jason Donovan bagged ten front covers, three more than Kylie Minogue. And girl power group the Spice Girls managed seven front covers. Former
Smash Hits editor Mark Frith, now editor of Heat, said: "People have an incredible
sentimental feeling towards Smash Hits. "It is part of most teenagers' lives." |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 19 March 2003 - Howard News! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Many thanks to Stuart for informing us that Howard is currently off ski-ing somwhere! Additional dates have been added to Howard's diary, which now also include Edinburgh! Stuart also says that at Ultima, being held in Chester on 21 April, Howard is DJing at the after party . It is common that at these sorts of events an additional party is arranged after the main event! Unfortunately this means that anyone wanting to go will have to pay £25-£35 for the ticket to the main event and then a further fee (Stuart thinks possibly £10-£20) for the after party ticket! It is a way of the promoters maximising their profits! It may well be better therefore if you go along to Garlands earlier in the evening. For further details of all Howard's gigs in 2003, please go along to http://www.beengoingcrazy.com Stuart is hoping to introduce a Community Board soon. He is having one or two problems sorting Howard's official site at the moment, due to pressure of work but asks that you all please bear with him and it will be sorted as soon as time restraints allow.

Many thanks to Stuart for the information! Please email me at Jan@ttap.zzn.com if you are interested in joining us. |

| 11 February 2003 - Gary's Atomic Rumour! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
"TAKE That heart-throb Gary Barlow is being tipped to help Atomic Kitten stay at the top. It is rumoured that the Liverpool-based band are holed up with the former boy band member at his Cheshire home, working on new material. The Kittens are expected to release a new album, and it looks like Barlow could be helping them pen new tracks. Liz, Jenny and Natasha have already scored number ones in both the singles and album charts, and hope to follow with more this year!. |

| 19 February 2002: "Three Men & A Little Lady"! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
In today's Sun there is an article title "Take That at a cinema near you" ....this is not a real film everyone.....The Sun are taking the the mickey lol! THEY were three crazy guys who thought they could never turn their back on the world of girls and groupies. She was one special little lady who had them all wrapped around her little finger. It will make you laugh. It will make you cry. But most of all it will make you believe in life after Take That. In the romantic comedy of the year, HOWARD DONALD, JASON ORANGE and MAX BEESLEY take two-year-old Grace shopping in Manchester yesterday. A few years ago female fans were throwing themselves at Take That’s fellas. But it’s now behind them and Howard’s daughter Grace is running the show. Empire
called it “a classic”, Total Film crowned it “a very important film” and the Macclesfield
Bugle said “it’s quite good”. Three Men And A Little Lady – at cinemas everywhere
now! |
