Did anyone else see the finale to this?

What an ending! I loved that he went back to Annie! Awww. And even though he committed suicide in the future it was still great to see him jump off that roof!

Ooo I loved that show am so sad its ended. But shall have to see what 'Ashes to Ashes' (the 80's spin off) is like.

I just came on to this thread to write exactly the same!!!:D I've loved 'Life on Mars' from the very beginning and as you say, so glad Sam and Annie ended up together.
Recently got the soundtrack cd. The dialogue clip on track 11 is on the list for my new ringtone!!.....Gene shouting ' Dont move, you're surrounded by armed b*****ds' then it goes straight into 'Blockbuster' by Sweet.
Love John Simm, prefer him as Sam and not Van Gogh though.
I shall certainly miss the series. :sad:

It was BRILLIANT!!! What an ending!! Still haven't got a clue what really happened but it was FANTASTIC!! I really want to get the 2 series on DVD now so I can go back and see all the clues again!! I love Gene Hunt and all his un-PC one-liners!!! And being one of the more mature Thatters on here, it was lovely to look back at the 70's and see things I remember from my childhood like Tufty.....I loved Tufty!!!

I've loved the show right from the start. I didn't know whether to be happy or sad for Sam, he got reunited with Annie but he commited suicide! It was sweet watching Sam and Annie kiss though, it was so tender and lovely. LOL. I'm a terrible romantic!

Gene Hunt without a doubt the best character with his quips and randomly worded insults! LOL.

Hey Netty i remember Tufty too from around the early to mid 90s, mum subscribed me to some sort of Tufty Club (does anyone remember that people!?!) Or am i mad!?! LOL. I had a badge and everything!

Oh before i post i love the little bit Sam used to say at the beginning of each episode of Life on Mars:

"Am I mad? In a Coma? Or actually back in 1973? Either way I know one thing I must find my way home!" (Or something along those lines!)

I am really going to miss this show and Sam and Gene!

Oo I wanna get the cd too I may have to do that for my ringtone!

Least we still get Hunt in the 80's one!
