Ray makes me cringe so does the lad with the black hair, he looks like a cross between Martine Mcutchen and Lorraine Kelly:eek: . I want Robert to win he is so genuinely nice and the song he sung was lovely, it was played at my friends funeral too and is so fitting. Robert has had many votes on my behalf tonight. Can somebody please send home Mcdougal Brothers or what ever they are called they are really not very good bless them :D x

I think he made the right decision tonight IMO...I did feel for him though, must be really tough choosing between your own 2 acts!!
Westlife are on next week, guess that means take that are not going to be on at all, i cant see them having two boybands or manbands on. boo hoo
I thought Leona and Robert were both brilliant.
I agree that 'The Proclaimers Mark 2' Mc Donalds should have gone but I did think Simon's reaction to them still being voted in was hilarious!

I thought the same thing, he has a striking resemblence to Rob in his younger days... Not sure who I would like to win havn't really been following the acts closely... Just have it on in the background. :)

Having said that they are pretty good at crucifying a song, well, any song!...and what were Eton Road doing in the middle of their Beatles effort...Take That have no worries if that's the best interpretation another band can do with Beatles hits!:yes:

I think Simon made the right decision on Sat - Nikitta hasn't lived up to expectations at all. I still like Eton Road even though Saturday wasn't their best performance, but I don't think I could bear Louis's smugness if he won two years in a row!! :eek:

Eton Rd killed a perfectly nice song, they were terrible. Antony aka lorraine kelly lookalike was wearing cheryl tweedys tousers im sure of it :D im voting for Robert he is great. Not keen on ray his performance was very cringe worthy and not a patch on ricky martins original. Lord only knows what offering we will get from the brothers grim xxxx

Just watched X factor for the first time in a good few weeks.
Think that Ben, Robert and Leona are brill and one of them should win.
I also think the judges should stop bickering between themselves and get on with what they are supposed to be doing. I lost count how many times Louis has mentioned about how Simon has been in LA this week. Yes Louis we get it - now STOP moaning!!

I have to agree with garyandjaysgirl.
The show is rapidly becoming about the judges and not the acts. It's so predictable now that Sharon and Louis will join forces and disagree with WHATEVER Simon says. They criticize acts for their mentor's choice of songs when they should be commenting on the performance itself. I usually love the banter between the judges, and I have to say I'm very much a fan of Simon Cowell (I think his honesty really makes the show!), but it's getting boring now. They should stop trying to score points off each other and get on with the talent competition!!

I cant believe simon sent home Robert over Eton Rd, they absolutly slaughtered the scissor sisters song in every possible way. Robert clearly has more talent. Im not watching it any more im sure its fixed. What an absolutle joke, not watching anymore X factor, Mcdonald bros, Ray and Eton Rd were awful tonight. My fave is Rob and I cannot believe Simon got rid of him!!! Eton Road killed that song it was way way to big for them they are no match for the Scissor Sisters. Ben was amazing too tonight! Get Rid of Ray & Mcd Bros!!!

I totally agree caroline, its just dreadful. Eton rd were pants and the brothers grim......how do they hang in there every week, who is voting for them? its cruel cos they will never ever make it in the music industry, winning x factor means nothing look at steve brookstein he is no where to be seen. Im not watching it anymore either i cant bare it. I thought as simon always says its a singing competition so why chuck one of the better singers out over a band who cant sing. Simon knows robeert would have been competition for leona which is why i think he sent him home. He knows Eton rd wont win. xxx

I totally agree with you!! Leona is a great singer but she does not have any personality all she does is cry. Trust Westlife to get on the bandwagon of Xfactor anything for more publicity to get their garbage heard!!! Thought it was funny how delta showed up, as Brian was the ex member he he!!:duck:

I can't believe Eton Road and Robert were in the final two! Something is not right with this voting thing! How the heck are the Brothers Grimm still in?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Sorry to pinch your title Sonya but that is indeed the correct title for them! Louis said a few weeks back that they were better than Journey South!!!! Oh my whatsit! Does that man have no ear for music . .. . erm, I don't think I want to answer that one on pain of criticising other bands! ;)
I think Robert did a good job tonight, though I don't think there is any way he could beat Leona, she is pure talent and a real star. She throws herself 100% into her music, though I didn't really like tonight's performance. Last week she blew me away!
Eton Road weren't on top form tonight but I think they are good, they all have tonsilitis but I think the song choice was wrong. Then again, if they had gone with the normal boyband stuff they would have been criticised too.
Ray was good tonight, though I do think he is more a West End star and entertainer rather than recording. But then the West End stars and entertainers do have long careers :D
For me it's Leona all the way! I haven't heard a voice or a passion for a song like hers for a long time, she reminds me of a young Shirley Bassey!
She is my winner, but will she win? I would have put money on Leona, Ben and Robert as the final three, now I have to put it on Leona, Ben and Eton Road I think! I hope it's not the "McDoogles""!!!

It has GOT to be fixed!!! I don't know a single person who likes the Brothers Grim (good name by the way!) and yet week after week they aren't in the bottom two!
I can't believe Robert is out...he was my joint fave with Leona and had bags of personality unlike a certain double act! I liked Eton Road up until last week but they seem to be getting weirder by the week and i'm not sure "weird" is a good point! lol
I'm getting fed up of the judges using "You're more a West End stage star" as an insult too - people in musical theatre normally do 2 energetic performances a day, 6 days a week, and sing live and dance at the same time for a couple of hours! How many X-factor acts could do that? I actually think they work harder and usually have more talent and better voices than most pop acts so I wish the judges would stop using it as an insult!
And Louis keeps going on about how Ray isn't versatile (and he even said Leona should try a fast number tonight because she keeps doing ballads) and seems to be forgetting that his own group (Westlife) have had a whole career out of doing the same thing over and over again. It's a real case of people who live in glass houses should never throw stones! lol
Right, rant over .. sorry but X-factor has started to bug me! Deep breaths...

Oh I agree!! Could that have been the reason I "forgot" to watch the second half!!! ;)
Not having a go at WL but, let's sit on a stool for half the song and then get up for the chorus, really has worn thin! One trick pony is what Mr Walsh keep saying, well best not comment here! WL have had 14 No 1s because they have a huge fan base and because they were the only real boyband left, plus Mr Walsh keeps picking covers for them that were previously No 1s, so you can't really go wrong.
Again, no offence to anyone, just expressing an opinion! Plus how many times did he say Simon was out of the country! I would have thought that said more about Simon's confidence in his team to produce the goods than anything! Must be that Sharon and Louis haven't much else to do! ;)
It is becoming a farce, seems to be less and less about the artists and more and more about the judges :(
If the McDoogle Brothers Grimm are not gone next week, then I will lose total interest in the whole thing! I still don't know how Journey South didn't win last year! Actually, I think it does people good not to win! Look at that lovely lady last year who is starring in the West End!
Ok, my rant now over:D Here's hoping the undynamic duo are gone next week!

Oh Nich i love the new name for WL, from now on Pondlife it is :clap . I agree with you Jan about it not being so important to win cos runners up are doing well out of the comp, i always liked G4 and thought they should have won the first X factor but they are doing better than Steve Brookstien. I feel that was a fix cos at the time Simon Cowell had just launched Il Divo and i dont think he wanted the competition between the two bands with them doing similar stuff. If the brothers grim stay in next week im not watching anymore either, not entirely sure i can sit thru eton rd murdering another song either! On the whole (Leona aside) i think this years competition is the weakest yet. xxxx

I am still in shock that Rob went out last night, not going to watch anymore as Ray, Eton Rd and Mcdoogle bros were AWFUL!! and got in. I really do think lines are fixed as its convenient how there are always one act each at the end funny that eh???:eek:
I was chuffed Ray stayed in because I want him to win, but it is a complete fix!!!! They always have one act left in each...what a surprise. Loving the new name for westlife...pondlife!!! Classic!!
Being in Belgium, I can't watch the X-factor but when I read that one of the acts did the Scissor Sisters, I just had to find out more. So I registered for Catch Up TV on the ITV website just to watch a clip.
All I can say is nice try, but NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's only one band that can do that song justice and that is the Scissor Sisters themselves. :winking0071:

Totally agree Jan, I think it was an awful song choice for Eton Road, the only people who can sing Scissor Sisters songs are the Scissor Sisters! But I did think they would be goners up against Robert in the final two, was quite surprised when Simon saved them.
Surely the McD's HAVE to go next week....
Please don't think Scotland are keeping the Brothers Grim (haha) in cos I don't know anyone who is voting for them - we have ears in Scotland (and most of us have personalities unlike a certain pair).
I cannot believe how bad its been this year, Leona is the only person who deserves to be in that comp (and Ben). Eton Road were shocking - how out of tune were they! Also I don't understand the Robert thing, he sounds boring to me (sorry) so glad he's out but the McD's def need to go!!

The brothers mcdoogle grim were just terrible absolutely terrible as always so that wasnt a suprise at all, bet they still stay in though. Im finding it very funny them 2 just sailing thru despite how rubbish they are so i say send home eton rd or ray and leave bros grim in just because its so very annoying but slightly amusing :clap x

To be honest, out of the two I think Ben should stay, though I do love Eton Road, they have huge potential cos they have only been together for as long as the programme has been on, so can only improve more!
I just saw Louis talking to Sharon so maybe he is going to do a deal here. He has promised Eton Road that he will manage them!

Didnot watch this weekend as Rob went out instead of Eton Rd or Mcdoogles or Ray. I was shocked AGAIN hearing that Eton Rd went out with Ben being up for chop too. Who is voting the Mcdoogles in and Ray?? Its such a fix convenient how there are always 3 acts left one for each judge. Funny how Eton Rd went out mmmmmm!!!:rolleyes:

might make me really unpopular but i really dont like watching leona and ben preform. they are both really talented but when they are on stage its all so 'serious' and i find it soooo dull. eton road had such a sense of fun and a twinkle in their eyes

Well didn't Ray pull out the stops tonight! Excellent performance.
It's definitely Leona's title though, she is amazing, though I wish she hadn't done the Mariah version - sooo predictable! Neilson's original is so much better! I hate all those extra notes!!!!
Ben, as usual, was same old, same old! Ok so he did accapella, but he had a whole flaming choir too. Doesn't do anything for me I'm afraid :(

I thought you won to get a deal!!! but apparently no everyone gets a deal cos i bet Ben will and the terrible Eton Rd Louis said he will sign them, the whole show is not what it once was, now its a singing competition where the winner and most other contestants get a record deal :angry: xxx

I've not watched xfactor for weeks! I've only read the last couple of posts on this thread so don't know if anyone has mentioned this but when I hear of Ray it just reminds me of when he was Anthony in Brookie getting bullied by 2 girls! I'll be tuning in this week & definatly won't be missing it next week :clap

Bens out and Ray stays, there is something wrong there Ben is much better than Ray. I'm not saying Ray isn't good enough (all of the Ray fans out there) I just prefere Ben.

but still wanted ben to be in with a chance,
don't like Leona but she is a very good singer i don't think we need another mariah carey or whitney houston singer, we need a fresh face and different type of singer like the voice of ben's,
Ray is more of an old style singer with his music so who will buy them other than people that like that type of music.

I had always thought Ben and Leona for the final, but I have to say that Ben was getting a bit boring the last few weeks. All the songs sound the same when he sings them.
I think Leona is brilliant. I think it would be nice to have a Mariah Carey/Christina Aquilera type singer on this side of the pond!
Can't wait for the final, but that's got more to do with Take That being on it than who actually wins!! :D
