totally boyband

has anyone seen this on channel 4 yesterday?

they are re-creating a boyband (I think currently still without a proper name) from old ex-boybanders...

there is a guy from steps, one from s club 7, one from 911 (who?), one from another level and danny from new kids... how weird is that??? and I from what they said in their interview yesterday one of them has already left the band...

a complete copycat from what our boys have perfectly (and validly - it has to be said) achieved this last year... these guys are just trying to cash in on their success, I feel. Interestingly in the whole of the program they have not mentioned TT once.. I was just waiting for it!

Maybe, though, they'll fall on their noses like E17 did, who couldn't even sell all the tickets for their one gig.

But then.. it's a reality TV show leading up to the 23rd Oct (doesn't this date sound familiar?) when they release their singe. So that will probably give them some credibility (as has been mentioned numerous times on these boards before: it's the X-Factor-factor)

I dident watch this, but it sounds like they are all desperate for attention, money and status.... just my opinion, but i think they are all wannabes, and they want to be just like TT are.... and already, by what ive heard about it, they have failed! :sleep:

Its an mtv thing, and it is lee from steps that has already left the band, apparently he has no talent. I don't think they are all in it because they are desperate but if it allows their music to be heard and it benifits them then why shouldn't they do it. It looks like they are writing the songs and maybe even having a hand in the production side to them. I must admit the song is quite catchy and i quite like it, dane sings most of it and it sounds like another level kind of song rather than a pure pop song. The best thing about it though is that mtv have a live show between 5 and 6 where you can ring in and request your fav boy band video, who knew there have been so many boy bands that have tried to make it.

Totally agree with you "woohoo", its not like they are coming back and singing covers...they are writing their own. I use to like 911 so am a little biased - but we shouldn't judge them because they are on a reality show and wait and see what they can come up with....we don't like it when people say Take That are just the same as all manufactured boybands.

It seems they have got rid of the only one with no talent it seems so will wait and see....

LoL this has been THE most cringe-worthy programme on TV of late! They are all utterly deluded ex boyband members. Yes they are talented in their own ways but the whole show is just ridiculous, I mean what kind of credibility will they have???

oooh so that was Jimmy's news - I missed it. I started watching this acouple of weeks ago & find it really funny - it's just harmless entertainment & if they manage to get a hit with it then good luck to them - at least they've done it themselves!!
