I was just wondering if anyone else shares my love of sitcoms. Some of my faves (old & new) are (in no particular order);
Friends
Game On
Blackadder
Red Dwarf
Two Pints Of Lager & A Packet Of Crisps
Scrubs
Joey
Father Ted
Frasier
those are just the 1's I have on DVD, prob many more I can't think of right now.
Perhaps some of u can jog my memory or suggest any I might not have seen?

Out of all of them I absolutely love Blackadder, all of the series. Lord Flasheart....lmao he's a classic!

I like the 80's sitcoms mostly though like Faulty Towers - classic that one.

I love all of those, Red Dwarf in particular. I remember loving the Brittas Empire as a kid if that counts as a sitcom but it would probably be terrible if I watched it now. Used to enjoy Birds of a feather too

Loved the Britass Empire back in the day too. I also liked Allo, Allo. Father Ted was cool too, but the drunk old guy used to gross me out a bit :-/. I loved Vicar of Dibley, Bird's of a Feather was a classic :)

I love sitcoms! Of course Friends is wonderful (got the complete set on DVD) and some of my other favorite TV shows include Punky Brewster, Doogie Howser, Full House, ER, Chicago Hope, Grey's Anatomy, House and LOST. I don't know if everyone would classify those all as sitcoms or not but those are some of my fave shows. Oh! And Sex and the City...how could I forget that one :)

I agree it ended well...I loved the ending. And Charlotte with her puppies...that was so adorable. I just loved the way they wrapped up everyone's stories...especially Carrie's. I dont want to give anything away in case there are other fans here who haven't seen it for some reason, but that was definately how I wanted things to end :)

I loved every single series! lmfao@Lord Flash Heart in Blackadder Goes Forth.

Ric Mayall's awesome I think, I love the Young Ones and Bottom - every single episode has me in stitches and their live shows are totally off the charts especially when they mess up a scene and Adrian takes the mickey out of Ric and winds up the crowd, classic ;D ;D

Hids,
Do you remember the episode where Basil deals with someone pretending to be a Lord? lmfao that episode's a classic.

Ally Mcbeal was really funny I want to get the dvds. You are right about Friends being like comfort food, it's one programme that always cheers me up if I'm in a bad mood.
Austin, I always laugh at Bottom especially the episode where they camp on Wimbledon common & think they are being attacked by wombles ;D Xmas episode was great too. I've only managed to see one of the live shows but it was very funny.

Oh yeah that Bottom episode was great - last 1 I watched was a few weeks ago when they had a burglar & sellotaped him 2 the ceilin when the police came round & Eddie had pencils stuck up his nose that Richie put up there when they were arguin. ;D . The burglar was Nigel from Eastenders.

The Thin Blue line
Father Ted
Only fools and horses
Frazier
Cheers
Bottom
one foot in the grave
absolutely fabulous
Keeping up appearences

There are so many.... I have to say i'm a bit of a sitcom junkie ;D All these shows are brilliant.

I love any comedy shows red dwarf and AB FAB is my favorite
Ive seen red dwarf so many times I know the words ;D
Red Dwarf trivia for you-

*In red dwarf Norman Lovett (Holly) originally auditioned for the part of Rimmer.
Chris Barrie (Rimmer) originally auditioned for the part of Lister.
Robert Llewellyn is the only member of the British cast to appear in the failed American pilot, Red Dwarf (1992) (TV), however Chris Barrie was offered the chance to reprise Rimmer in the same series.
Alan Rickman was first choice for the part of Rimmer, while Alfred Molina was considered for Lister, but it was decided that it might prove difficult to get these two successful movie actors to return for further series if the show became a success, so the idea was dropped.

As of 2006, the series is technically still in production by the BBC, 18 years after it debuted. This makes it the second-longest running science fiction series of all time, behind "Doctor Who" (1963). Due to the erratic nature of British TV scheduling, however, only 8 series have actually been produced.

I love sitcoms too.

Love F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and Will and Grace especially. But you're right, there's not so many good one's on anymore. We just have to make do with re-runs instead :-/

I love sitcoms! I think if I had to choose my fave would have to be Only Fools and Horses .. it's a classic!

Like most of the others that people have mentioned too and I also really used to like Goodnight Sweetheart & Birds of a feather from the 80s and 90s and more recently Coupling and Linda Green.

I much prefer British sitcoms to American ones. Friends and Will & Grace are OK but I've never got into any others!
